New features

  • 100Gbps support available on r1000!!—The r1000 Enterprise Monitoring Point can now be configured with up to two 100Gbps Delivery/Experience ports. Ports 2 and 3 on the r1000 are QSFP ports and can accept 10Gbps (SFP+ using included QSFP28 to SFP+ adapter), 40Gbps (QSFP+), or 100Gbps (QSFP28) modules. As shipped, port 2 is configured for Delivery/Experience monitoring (100Gbps max) and port 3 is configured for Usage monitoring (10Gbps max). Port 3 can be reconfigured for Delivery/Experience monitoring (100Gbps max). Ports configured for more than 10Gbps require a “100Gbps monitoring” add-on license.
    • Note that this upgrade will take longer than most (~ 10 minutes) and requires two reboots. The first is automatic. The second is manual.

Work arounds

PathTest and MTU size—If the mid-path MTU size is less than the source or target interface MTU, PathTest will time out. You can work around this by setting the Packet Size within PathTest to the Target MTU size.

Screenshot showing Packet Size within PathTest being set to 1280 - the same size as the Target MTU size.
