There are situations where it is desirable to consolidate the presentation of monitoring tools from different vendors onto a single web page. The embeddable session login feature provides this ability. In order for a user to either retrieve the URL required to add embeddable session login capability to a web page or to login via an embedded session, they require the “Embeddable Session Login” add-on privilege. The embeddable session URL is sent to a user when they are enabled for embeddable session logins. They can also retrieve this URL at any time. The URL (and surrounding HTML code) must then be added to the web page being modified.

Be aware that embedding an application within another has the potential for exposure to cross-site scripting (XSS) types of security vulnerabilities.
