By default, web admin supports only one user, which is authenticated using a locally stored password. Alternatively, you can use tacacs+ to perform authentication. If tacacs+ is enabled, any user configured on the tacacs+ server—including one having the username root—can log in to web admin. When tacacs+ is enabled, existing local users and passwords have no effect on authentication.
- Log in to web admin.
- Click ‘web admin interface configuration’.
- Click ‘configure tacacs+ authentication’.
- Apply your changes.
